There are many excellent music festivals in the summer months
Amongst the best known are the
Marciac Jazz Festival
There are also classical concerts every week, many
held
Marciac Jazz Festival ♥ Tempo Latino ♥ Jazz in Montauban ♥ Festival Convivica
The sleepy town of Marciac is transformed by the Festival, with the main square hosting several other stages. Almost every building turns into a restaurant or bar, many with their own live jazz. The music winds down around 3am and the atmosphere is laid back and informal.
The quality of jazz is invariably outstanding and several concerts each year are simply world class. Wynton Marsalis is a leading light and usually plays two nights. Not to be missed. Marciac is reached in around an hour from Le Lavandou. See: http://www.jazzinmarciac.com |

The biggest concerts are in the Bull Ring and must be booked in advance. The main street becomes a huge market and the atmosphere is non-stop. Vic Fezensac is around 45 mins from Le Lavandou.

A festival of world music held across South West France in June and July with the majority of concerts taking place in July. There is normally a concert held by the river (at Le Port) in Valence sur Baise around the middle of July. Very laid back, free concerts with a small restaurant and bar. Some great music. http://perso.wanadoo.fr/festivalconvivencia/
