Le Lavandou is named after the abundant lavender bushes around the terrace overlooking the garden
The swimming pool is 11m x 4m and heated from June until mid-September using an energy efficient heat pump. The shallow end includes Roman steps. The pool is fully fenced (1.2m high), with access by a security gate. The grounds of Le Lavandou are one hectare (2.5 acres) and include a large lawn area and an oak wood of around an acre.
There are many sunny and sheltered areas for sitting out. Close to the house are a number of walnut and fig trees and also bushes of wild cherry.
The large barn includes table tennis and is also used to store the garden furniture. This includes pool and terrace loungers, a large table and ten chairs for eating outside on the terrace, and a large portable BBQ.
The lawn area to the South of the house has direct views over the countryside and is also a good lazing and reading area in the afternoon. For evening meals, it provides an alternative to the main terrace. |
