Track leading to le LavandouView to the NorthView to the SouthAugust sunset

Le Lavandou is situated on a South facing slope
in rolling countryside of fields and woods

View to the SouthThe view South is uninterrupted until the Pyrénees.  These are 100km away and can be clearly seen on around 80 days of the year, most frequently in the Spring.

The fields are planted alternately with wheat and sunflowers.

View to the NorthThe view behind the house, towards the North, is shown in the picture to the left.

Le Lavandou is 500m from the nearest road and there is rarely any traffic or other noise in the summer - other than the birds and an occasional tractor in the distance.

Magnificent sunsets and early evening skies

This view was taken from the house shortly after sunset - when the few clouds in the sky were caught with a brilliant pink from the sun from over the horizon.
